" A friend is one to whom one may pour out all the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away."
"A friend is someone
who knows the song in your heart,
and can sing it back to you
when you have forgotten the words."

this is just another website. of course. only here, we will uphold our friendship at all times. friendship first, then the business. because that's exactly who we are, and how we came to be. before miss mocca, before the crazy days of hair pulling in trying to pay our bills and employees' salaries, before the relieved laughters, there was our friendship.
we were awkward and poor teenagers then, pushed to university on a meager budget by our parents who believed education was the only best thing they can pass on to us. we met and endured each other for a whole year on a block section for the first year business students. throughout that year, we just sort of clung to each other like magnets, driven by this overpowering need to belong. that same year too, personalities clashed, attitudes battled and buckets of tears fell. but like all childish squabbles, everything was quickly soothed and mended and we would be soon bouncing, teasing, and cheering each other again.
some friendships from school end after graduation, as each seek his own niche in the world. but not us. long after the school pronounced us capable to face the world and handed us our diplomas, we continued to hang out with each other. through the years, the rough edges of childishness, selfishness, and teenage angst were polished and a friendship we hope will last our lifetime became our refuge, our strength, our encouragement.
like any other human relationship out there, we're not perfect. there are always the bickerings, differences of opinions, and little bits of stubbornness here and there, but despite that, we have stuck together through thick and thin throughout the years. we've helped each other with our weight problems, bouts of zits and acnes, the rollercoaster rides of a lovelife, and we've shared in all the pains and joys of our own families. we were ready to kill and strangle anyone who would try to hurt one of us. we ran quicker than anybody to rescue each other. this friendship is thicker than blood-relations can bring. we are more than sisters and brothers. we are kindred spirits. we care. we love. we nurture. we miss each other.
most of us are still together and holding on to threadbare bits of sanity left while juggling careers, lovelife, topak, and the demands of the business altogether; some were banished to far-flung countries to suffer the conveniences of the first world, where nagaraya and boy bawang haunt their dreams and the occasional heat of the sun their only pleasure. some were in the richest oil country in the world, driving luxury cars but forever denied the joys of humba and crispy pata.
someday, somehow, a few full moons from now, we will all meet again. we will talk and laugh as though we've never been a day apart, we will eat with our hands and forget our table manners, and there will be teasings, and singing, and shameless gigglings. just like the old times.
